aliens turned to rebels

ever since our whole section stepped on the confines of our school, teachers and other students have been looking at us as if we were aliens. that’s a bit of an understatement, though. it’s as if we were all smelly, scary-looking aliens with an extra eye in the middle of our foreheads and extra arms and legs sprouting from several parts of our body. in short, we were outcasts. only our adviser took a genuine interest in us and showed us the care everybody should’ve done to a bunch of first years no one give a damn about.

our section was sort of made in order to test some new program. in short, we really dont belong. we were something new. we were classified under the special section. we have extra subjects, endure prolonged hours in the school and the like plus the mutterings of the other people in school saying that we werent officially registered in the department of education. what a nice first year in hs. i even came to the point of asking myself if i can still take everything. *sigh*

going back to our adviser, i must admit that i really admire her. she fought for us even though that meant gaining enemies from the other teachers. she stood by our side when people kept on commenting that we were still “kolorum” meaning slightly illegal or something. and when the time came that we all passed the regional exam to be an official science section of the school, she said that we just proved everyone who questioned us wrong. she also said that no one has the right to call us kolorum anymore.

maybe its then duing our first year, when everyone was just against us, when we dont have anyone but ourselves that we learned to fight back, to go upstream, to be extra sensitive and bit less trusting. maybe its then that we realized that no one could ever put us down if we dont let them. maybe it then that the fact that the real world is indeed unkind specially to vulnerable ones started to dawn on us.

we are now in our senior year. three years of fighting back whenever we feel we were being stepped upon. we showed the whole school that we are not meek ones that’ll just sit back and shut up when our rights are being overlooked. because of this, again, people have another view of our personalities: that we are all rebels doing anything we want not minding if we hurt people in the process. i just dont see the justice in this. i mean, we grew up to be the people we are now because of the pains we were exposed to ever since we were first years. our hearts grew calluses and became hard because of them!.now theyre complaining that we all have become unreasonable brats. *sigh*

enough bitterness!..hehe..i just want to let all that go. Ü
